There always have to be three for some reason.  Any list I make.

So, in RPG idea space there are as of this moment for me the following:

The original 3 volume D&D little brown books.

The Legends, Tombs and Towers of Krshal.

The Vaults of Vaarn.

Disagreeing with this is not only required but an almost existential crisis point, so don't bother.

The chair

There is a brief moment in Iain M. Banks's Use of Weapons that I think about on occasion.  Zakalwe is living on a beach in a hut.  The world is populated by people who are constantly on the move in giant cars.  They think he is odd because he isn't moving, not because he is a beach bum.  It quickly becomes clear that he is there to be alone and think things over.  His interactions with other people are brief and use as little communication as possible.  One day he notices a chair on the beach while he is combing his area for stuff to drag into town and sell. Some combination of the facts of his situation plus this chair led me to speculate on ways to insinuate yourself into the life of someone who isn't remotely interested in interacting with you.  Introduce interesting items into their environment over some span of time without in any other way being present.  Try to  notice when one of these items is possibly taken by this nut you for some reason want to crack.  Be availa

Photos

 It occurs to me that photos are not art. I have had people show me photos to convince me they are art or perhaps that they are artists I'm not sure. I have had people take me in a car to a building to look at photos. Not once have I ever not thought that here I am staring at a photo. It occurs to me that the young girl smoking a cigarette on the cover of Dinosaur Jr's album Green Mind is one of the few photos I liked as maybe art. I did not find out until 30 years later that the photo actually is art. Five seconds later it occurred to me that the photo on the cover of Tad's first album had to be changed because the people in it did not want to be on a Tad album. Tad or one of his band mates or friends had found that photo at a garage sale or something. These two photos are at opposite ends of the art spectrum used for the same thing and having the same impact.
